Using the Stars to Navigate Motherhood

ree

The night sky has this magical way of reminding us that even in life's darkest moments, there's still so much beauty and light to hold onto. It has this magical way of putting things into perspective. You look up, and there’s this endless expanse of stars, planets, and the occasional shooting star reminding you how vast the universe is. But when you’re battling something as heavy as postpartum depression, that same sky can feel isolating—like you’re staring into the void with a weight that won’t lift. It’s hard to feel connected to the beauty of it all when you’re stuck in your own storm.

In those moments of overwhelming chaos I chose to take in the quiet as a comforting whisper that says, "Hey, you've got this." As I find my way through the wild, beautiful chaos of first-time motherhood, I can't help but look to those stars for a little guidance. 🌟 They remind me to pause, breathe, and appreciate the small, shining moments—even when the days feel a little overwhelming (or a lot overwhelming, let’s be honest).

If you're on this journey too, just know you’re not alone. We’re all out here, navigating the ups and downs, finding our own stars to follow. And some days? It's okay if the only guiding light you can see is the glow of the baby monitor at 2 AM.

Some nights, just stepping outside to breathe in the stillness, away from the noise of parenting and life, can be a tiny act of self-care. You don’t have to figure it all out right now. Sometimes, just letting yourself be under that blanket of stars while feeling all the feelings is enough. And that’s okay. You're doing amazing. Keep going.
